Leadnomics is looking for an exceptional web application developer to join our growing team.

Leadnomics is a fast-growing, innovative online marketing technology company. We generate customers (leads) for large companies including financial institutions, online schools and insurance companies. We blow our customers away by delivering high volumes of quality leads at competitive prices. Leadnomics launched in 2008, reached profitability in just three months, and has grown revenue at over 500% per year. We're one of the fastest growing start-ups in Philadelphia, located in the Cira Centre (next to 30th Street station and a short walk from the heart of Center City).

We are a small team tackling big problems. We want to scale hardware more efficiently. We want to develop better systems to purchase, manage and deliver online traffic. We are looking for individuals who will come in and own the areas of our business that are most interesting to them. While we currently work with tools like PHP, Java, jQuery, MySQL, we are looking for candidates who can identify the best tools for a given job and quickly adapt.

On day one, you will contribute production code. On day two, you will work closely with the founders to dream up and then lead projects that will delight customers and make our systems rock-solid. You will recognize weaknesses in our organization and won't hesitate to tell us what we are doing wrong and why. You will occasionally pitch in with whatever needs to get done (blog posts, testing, cabinetmaking, etc.). Finally, you will help us hire more people just like you as our company continues to grow.

Requirements:

-Experience with object-oriented programming and SQL databases
-B.S. degree in Computer Science or a related field
-Be able to explain the differences between PHP 4 and PHP 5
-Be able to explain why CakePHP sucks/rocks
-Be comfortable with an agile workflow
-Know how to tune MySQL queries to make them more efficient
-Have experience working with other humans in a way that makes them love coming to work
-Be able to help out their non-technical colleagues and customers
-Be able to explain why IE is the worst browser from a developer's perspective
-Be able to code something in the interview (no excuses; don't reply if you can't code)
-Know how to install and maintain all the software that you would actually use
-TATFT

Bonus points:

-Have an informed opinion of HiP HoP
-Know something about how networking really works
-Have experience scaling high-traffic web applications
