Kalkomey, Inc. is seeking a Front-End Developer with strong HTML/CSS/JavaScript kung fu to join our User Experience Team in Dallas.

We are working in small, agile scrum teams to build from scratch applications currently in development as well as updating and improving the legacy UI/UX on all of our existing products.

You'll be an integral part of a scrum team, ensuring clean, maintainable HTML/CSS/JS while collaborating with UX designers, PHP developers, and the product owner. 

Musts... 

• Expert in cross browser semantic HTML and CSS 
• Solid Javascript and Ajax (especially jQuery)
• Experience designing and building standards based interactive web-based applications
• Experience with accessibility issues (sec508/WAI) and the concept of progressive enhancement
• A portfolio with a range of examples that demonstrate strong HTML/CSS/JS ability

Would be cool if...

• Experience with version control (Git a plus)
• Experience with Agile Development
• Experience integrating front-end code with PHP backend
• Rapid prototyping experience
• Visual design chops (FW/Photoshop design comps)
• Experience with a CMS
• Ability with Flash/actionscript

Kalkomey is the official provider of recreational safety education materials for all 50 states. In addition to the course material, Kalkomey provides a series of web-based applications built for the specific needs of various state agencies including recreational event management and data storage/retrieval.

While our core business may not appear sexy on first blush, the creative/fun factor behind the scenes is enticing.  We are already usingHTML5 and our agile backlog includes stories featuring all device (mobile-to-TV) course delivery and edugame development.
