The Board of Governors of the Federal Reserve System located in Washington, DC is seeking a mid-level Web designer/developer. The ideal incumbent will be able to work in a creative environment with other designers, developers, and web editors. Must present with true passion about website creation and design and are self motivated and accountable. 

Must possess 2 years of industry experience and working knowledge of each phase of the web creative process from initial concept to final build-out and implementation. Create and design eye-catching, usable site compositions and can translate that vision into fully functional HTML/CSS code utilizing the Adobe creative suite of products. 

Must be able to work independently or cooperatively as a member of a team and thrive in a fast paced work environment, that will challenge and consistently grow knowledge, abilities, and talent. 

Portfolio and experience will demonstrate:

• Solid working knowledge of HTML/CSS languages and best practices of those languages across multiple browsers and platforms. 
• Working knowledge of Adobe products, especially Photoshop and/or Fireworks to create visual prototypes and Dreamweaver based front-end development, including template, library, site management and Spry concepts.
• Strong knowledge of aesthetic concepts and interface design; sound understanding of layout principles and artistic judgment.
• Ability to visualize, design, and conceptualize user experiences
• Understanding of branding, typography, photography and color techniques to create innovative visual solutions that meet the client*s needs and expectations.
• Proven ability to communicate information and ideas effectively, work creatively and analytically with a sharp attention to detail
• Proven ability to assist in the identification, assessment and resolution of issues and problems as well as assist in the ongoing maintenance of established projects
• Knowledge of Javascript, Flash, and Actionscript in addition to the skills above is a plus.
