Investigative Reporting Workshop at American University: Database and Web Development

The Investigative Reporting Workshop at American University is  
searching for an individual or team to help with database  
construction and Web development on its intensive analysis of the  
Washington, D.C., MSA's broadband market. The candidate(s) will be  
skilled at obtaining, combining and adding to large government databases for analysis. The candidate(s) will be familiar with open source database software, preferably PostgreSQL  and mapping  
software (ArcView or QGIS). In addition, he/she must also be capable  
of building a Web-based mapping interface to display the data online  
in a visually exciting and highly interactive way. The contractors  
will report to the director of the Workshop's "Connected: Media and  
Broadband Project."
