Capital IQ, a Standard and Poor’s Business and a McGraw Hill Company is looking for a Contract Graphic Designer to assist the Creative Director in a wide range of projects (web and print based). The ideal candidate will be someone who:

• Takes pride in comps being pixel perfect
• Is passionate about typography and layout
• Has versatile design ability and can work in a variety of mediums including word, powerpoint and InDesign  documents, websites, posters and large scale displays
• Enjoys working with new tools and finding new ways of executing design problems.

This position will be a minimum of 15 - 20 hours/week or two full work days and will be based in our New York headquarters within the Marketing Department.

Responsibilities Include:

• Responsible for graphics production, creative concepts, proofing, photo research, and layout design
• Collaborate on and create design concepts and mockups for collateral materials, mailings, online/interactive, events, etc.

Skills/Knowledge Required:

• Expertise with InDesign, Illustrator, and Photoshop
• Knowledge of HTML, CSS, Dreamweaver, Flash
• Knowledge of other programming languages (ASP, PHP, Actionscript a plus)
• Highly-organized with meticulous attention to details
• Ability to operate under time constraints
• College degree in Graphic Design or Fine Art
• Strong typography skills
• Portfolio required
• Web experience is preferred but not required
