We're looking for a Senior Visual Designer to help us define our client software (Mac, Windows, mobile, and web clients) with the opportunity to help us design our innovative 2D virtual work environments. The Visual Designer will work with designers, design researchers, and developers to shape the Sococo client software to work with the full suite of Sococo services.

While we prefer a San Francisco Bay Area-based designer, because of the nature of our products, we can accommodate designers who work remotely.

Responsibilities

• Work closely with interaction designers to help define the look and feel of the Sococo service: everything from mobile, desktop, and web interfaces, to our email notifications and iconography, and anything just about anything else that the user sees, hears, or touches
• Develop visual systems for communicating our brand and providing a well-lit path for our users
• Generate style guides, specifications, graphical assets, and redlines
• Source illustration, photography, and other imagery as needed

Qualifications

• Passionate about good design. Know an em from an en and a point from a pixel. Have a sketchbook and aren't afraid to use it
• 5 or more years of visual design experience
• Self starter with a proven track record of getting things done
• Four-year degree in graphic design, fine arts, architecture, HCI, equivalent formal training, or industry experience
• Expertise in Illustrator and Photoshop
• Portfolio available for viewing

Desired but not Required

• Ability to generate quick, disposable prototypes to demonstrate visualizations
• Experience in real or virtual architecture
• Illustration and/or experience with 3D rendering tools
