The Board of Governors of the Federal Reserve located in Washington DC seeks a Web Designer/Developer. The ideal candidate will work as part of the Web Communications and Development team, using specialized software and applications to develop, design, and maintain the Board's intranet websites. Position requires technical skills and working knowledge of HTML/CSS, JavaScript, HTML 5, and CSS3 languages, best practices of those languages across multiple browsers and platforms with excellent understanding of web standards (W3C), interactivity, usability, and accessibility concepts. Also must possess working knowledge of Adobe products, especially Photoshop to create high fidelity compositions, mockups or prototypes and Dreamweaver based front-end development, including template, library, and site management. Preferred candidate takes a lead role in developing and establishing branding for the Federal Reserve s online communications. Assists in developing overall navigation and user interface design for the Board s public website. Candidates will be required to show a portfolio of their work and complete a technical test.
