Birst is looking for a UI designer to join our team based in San Francisco on a contract basis to start but with the possibility for a full-time position. Our ideal candidate is passionate about design, with an eye for detail, and loves to create clean, engaging, useful user experiences. You'll have a fantastic portfolio of design work and preferably a number of years having worked with enterprise web apps (SaaS). Most of all we’re looking for someone who likes a good challenge and the opportunity to redefine how users experience business intelligence software.

Skills required for this role:

• An amazing creative portfolio
• A good understanding of design concepts such as color theory, grids and typography
• Passionate about user-centric design for web apps and mobile applications
• Keen to collaboratively brainstorm digital creative concepts
• Good communication and presentation skills
• Comfortable working in a dynamic startup environment

Technical stuff:

• Fluent in the usual web design authoring tools
• Solid front-end code skills
• Experience with Adobe Flex and HTML5 is a plus
• Experience with enterprise software (SaaS) is a plus
• Basic programming skills and knowledge of server-side technologies is a plus
