We are looking for an ambitious, entrepreneurial designer to add to our burgeoning team; someone with a true maker’s spirit, a tinkerer’s curiosity, and the drive to be part of a team building something big.

You’ll be challenged to invent, develop, and execute daily alongside a team. You should be independent and able to express ideas and opinions while hearing those of the team. You should be excited by speedy turnarounds, confident in your ideas, and take pleasure in crafting details.

Responsibilities:

• Create effective user interfaces and design solutions with a deep understanding of user needs and a nerdy enthusiasm for data
• Create a toolkit of design patterns and variations across multiple platforms
• Be a champion for good ideas, from their early inkling stages through the end of the engineering team’s development process.
• Create low-fidelity graybox plans as well as detailed, high-fidelity wireframes.
• Be a great idea sketcher.
• Stay abreast of current design innovations, technologies, and trends and share your excitement with the team

Requirements:

• An exceptional portfolio showcasing smart design solutions across media
• 2+ years of professional design experience in product interface design & interactive web applications
• Mobile design experience is a big plus
• Experience creating product specifications (IA, work flow, page functionality and layout, style guides, etc.)
• A working understanding of front-end web development and an interest therein—programming is not required but knowing the medium is
• A passion for simple, smart, timeless design
• Strong written & oral communication skills
• Highly competent with Adobe Creative Suite, HTML/CSS/JS
• Well versed in a variety of prototyping methods to communicate your ideas
• Experience effectively meeting project deadlines
• An understanding of grid systems, composition, color, and typography is a plus
• BFA in Graphic Design or equivalent experience
