UX with a passion for Markets Data

 The Wall Street Journal is looking for an UX/Information Architect who:

• Is passionate about Markets Data and innovative experiences, including data visualization
• Thinks about how aggregate data becomes information, and how to combine that with news for both a consumer and a professional audience

Job Responsibilities:

Conceptualize projects from description to detailed specifications:

• Work as part of the Product team to translate business goals into interactive solutions
• Produce creative concepts, prototypes and storyboards to communicate solutions to core team and major stakeholders

Create documentation used by Business, Development and QA:

• Site Maps
• Use cases
• Prototypes
• Detailed wireframes
• Technical, editorial, and usability specifications
• Functional requirements

Contribute to user research and usability testing:

• Work with the Research team to create testing scripts
• Create testing materials
• Provide iterative solutions based on user feedback

Last, but never least

• Advocate for the end user

Job Requirements

• Solves problems and communicates solutions, with strong organizational skills
• Thrives on tight deadlines and multiple, parallel projects
• Enjoys working with multi-disciplinary teams
• Understands the capabilities and limitations of HTML, XML, CSS and JavaScript; is familiar with Visio, OmniGraffle, Photoshop; comfortable learning new technologies
• Experience with Ruby and MySQL a plus

• Bachelor¹s degree preferred in design-related discipline: Interaction, Information or Interface design; Human-Computer Interaction
