PHP / Drupal Developer

Short term contract (3 months) or freelance – rate negotiable.

HMD are looking for an enthusiastic and experienced PHP and Drupal Developer to work on a wide range of client projects using the latest web technologies.

Nature of the work

• Taking user stories and wireframes and translating them into functionality within a Drupal site build
• Creating features and writing test cases
• Participating in sprint planning and estimating
• Applying design / theming to features
• Working on integration with external / backend systems and APIs (eg. ecommerce, CRM)
• Ensuring browser and device compatibility

Essential skills and experience

• Drupal 7 core site building and development
• PHP 5.2/5.3
• Key contrib modules: features, context
• HTML5 / CSS3
• Javascript/DOM Scripting/JQuery
• MySQL
• SCM – git
• Cross browser testing and debugging

Desirable skills and experience

• Continuous Integration (Jenkins) and TDD (SimpleTest)
• Ruby
• Linux
