About the Role

• AppDirect is seeking a highly skilled web architect comfortable in the myriad roles a modern site requires. This includes HTML/CSS/JS development, server management, site architecture, and deployment.
• Manage ExpressionEngine sites with heavy customization. CodeIgniter familiarity would be a big plus.
• Bring modern techniques, such as responsive design and high pixel density assets, into widespread use throughout the team’s projects.
• Ability and desire to take on tasks yourself and see them through to completion.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Carry the design team’s attention to detail through production and user experience.
• Help build a team of web developers to help with the ever-growing digital needs of AppDirect.

About You

• You can take a design and turn it into clean, semantic code lightning fast.
• jQuery is a tool in your arsenal, not your only weapon.
• Things like SASS, CoffeeScript, GIT, and Capistrano are all part of your workflow, and if they're not, you want them to be.
• You're comfortable digging in to server configuration and working in the command line.
• You can tell your Htaccess who's boss.
• Details matter to you; When things are off, it hurts.
• You’re not just a code monkey but a collaborator. Your opinions matter and you know how to communicate them effectively.
• At your core, you are a creative person who thrives in a collaborative team of bright designers, writers, and engineers.
