Recent projects have included publishing over 93,000 object records in our collection online and the creation of an API alongside it; Split Second: Indian Paintings, an online experiment and in-gallery installation exploring visitors’ split-second reactions to our Indian paintings collection; and visualization and data analysis looking at objects in our collection; and GO, a Brooklyn-wide open studio project where artists open their doors so community members decide who can be featured in a group exhibition at the Brooklyn Museum. Here’s our skill checklist:
- Expertise with standard SQL and familiarity with Mysql and SQL Server 2003/2008;
- Experience in database-heavy Web applications;
- Strong UNIX command-line programming (PHP, Ruby, BASH);
- Strong data modeling skills (i.e. 3NF);
- Familiarity with Microsoft SSIS packages and jobs;
