Wojo Design is looking to add a brilliant and motivated web developer to join our tight knit web agency; someone who knows how to craft great user experiences and loves to build awesome shit.

About You

• You get an odd facial tick when your project isn’t using source control.We may be small, but we’re big on collaboration. Every project we do is inside a git repo.
• You’re self motivated and accountable. You’re able to project manage yourself and take the reigns if you see something dragging behind. You’ll be responsible for providing estimates and making sure you stay on-schedule and on-budget.
• You love learning new things. As a small team we all need to be a jack of all trades. We try to do something new on every project and every moment in-between is treated like a hack day.
• You’ve got excellent problem solving abilities, a firm grasp on algorithms and rock-solid computer science fundamentals

• You care about great user experiences above all. UX design doesn’t stop at the wireframing/design stage. We believe everyone on the team must bring their A-game to create a great user experience.

What You’ll be doing

• You will be involved in all phases of the development cycle. You’ll be giving your thoughts and opinions from the very start through launch.
• Backend web and application development.
• Developing iOS and Android applications.
• Integrating 3rd party platforms and APIs.
• Learning, adapting, researching, and sharing day in and day out.
• Explaining to clients like they’re 5 year olds the complexities of development tasks.

Skills & Requirements

• PHP & MySQL
• Javascript ninja skills
• OOP/MVC
• Experience working with Web Services (REST/SOAP)
• LAMP server administration
• Advanced knowledge of HTML/CSS
• E-commerce experience
• Sound understanding of security on the web
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or equivalent job experience

Brownie Points

• Mobile Dev with iOS, Android, and/or titanium, phonegap, etc.
• Experience with Auth.net, Paypal, and any other payment processors.
• Ruby on Rails
• Amazon Web Services
• Experience with ExpressionEngine
• Wordpress plugin development
• Startup experience
