SpotCo seeks a Technical Director to join our busy interactive department. The Technical Director reports to the Director of Interactive Services and will manage a team of developers, designers and project managers in the planning, execution and launch of all interactive projects and initiatives (websites, banner creative, email blasts, social applications and more).

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Manage a team of developers and designers, overseeing the execution of all programming/coding to produce exceptional websites, banners and applications

• Inspire and lead team to develop innovative and cutting-edge ideas and make them a reality

• Administer setup and maintenance of all server/hosting needs

• Work with project managers to create SOW, project budgets, QA processes and timelines

• Develop and build websites, banners and other applications as needs arise

REQUIREMENTS:

• Experience managing and collaborating with a team of developers, designers and project managers

• Extensive knowledge of HTML/CSS, Javascript, JQuery, PHP, SQL, Flash and Action Script 2/3, experience with mobile development a plus

• Ability to work with major APIs (Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, etc)

• Experience working with open source content management systems (Drupal)

• Background in using standards-compliant front-end development techniques and search engine optimization

• Comfortable with database setup and maintenance

• Strong eye for branding and design, working knowledge of Photoshop

• Skilled at solving problems in a fast-paced environment

• Strong desire to learn and stay on top of industry trends and competitive landscape

• Interactive agency experience a plus
