| I am new to Vista and needed help. I saw Step by Step windows Vista and decided to see if it would helpe. As any one who has ever used Vista knows it is different and not real easy to understand. I think it is an excellent tool for anyony trying to get the best out of their Vista experience. I would recommend the book to anyone wanting to leard V ista. Ellis V. Lumpkins |

| No manual comes with computers now, so this book was very helpful in understanding where to find different fuctions as things changed a lot from my old operating system. |
| | Should have come with the OS: Rating: 4/5 |
Each generation of Windows just gets more and more complicated. I'm using a preinstalled Home Premium Edition that came with my Dell PC and it doesn't even have a printed manual.
I go gack to Windows 3.1 and, frankly, I wish that Microsoft would either cut out some of the "features" or provide a useful manual explaining how they work.
While I didn't need this book to get up and running, it did help me to fine tune my system and, for that alone, it's worth the price. |

| Great little book that gives you enough information about commonly needed tasks without bogging you down with information you may never need. |
| | step by step xp : Rating: 5/5 |
The STEP BY STEP XP book has been very helpful and was received in good condition. I would like to have known ahead of time that the tutorial disc would not fit on my HP laptop ( which I recently purchased. Am wondering why the discs are not made to be compatible with all computers.) This of course is not the vendor's fault or Amazon's fault. However, I will think twice before purchasing this kind of item again. So far my experience in purchasing from Amazon has been good. It's a great way to buy books and possibly other things. Thank you. |
