The book everyone is falling in love with . . .

Customer Reviews: Average Rating: 4.5/5
Very good, very interesting!: Rating: 4/5
The author does a very good job with this subject matter and character development. Overall, very good and I would recommend it. I would even read another book. As an African American woman whose grandmother and great aunts worked as domestics, it was tough to get through at times, however the author's naive sense of what it means to be black in America during the 60s with no education, helped to keep me reading. Overall, good storyline! - Trinice S. Moses - New Jersey

The Help: Rating: 5/5
Written so well that one has to wonder how much of this is real and how much is made up. Easily identifiable with even if you weren't raised in the South! I highly reccomend this book!!

absolutely wonderful: Rating: 5/5
I won't tell you anything about the story--everyone else has done that. I usually read murder and mayhem and am not sure why I picked this one up but a friend that I was trying to impress recommended it to me. I was hooked by the end of the first page and soaked up every delicious word all the way to the end. This was the best read that I have had in a very long time! Highly recommend it!! (I read it on my Kindle and have now ordered it in book form for my husband)

It Just Works: Rating: 5/5
I certainly had my gripes along the way, like the audacity of this woman writing in those black voices but hey, it was a great read and a great read is a treasure. The Help was for me one of those mysteriously riveting books that I actually did not want to like but could not help loving.

Memorable characters: Rating: 4/5
Great story...not perfect. But days after finishing I couldn't get some of the characters out of my mind...always the sign of an effective book....
