I have worked out to this video since 1985. I have most often used the first 30 minutes of stretching and aerobic dance when I can't get outdoors to jog or bike. The rest of the tape is still amazing, obviously more challenging for me now, but it was good in my 30s and still feels worthwhile in my 50s. It is definitely my favorite workout video ever.

Gotta love Jane: Rating: 5/5
I have been working out since I was 14 (now Im 26) and my home debut was with this tape that my mom had. I am a latina girl, that means I have very wide hips and butts, and this is the only kind of exercise that have made my butts, thighs and hips get in great shape, among my cardiovascular condition and flexibility. I lost this tape a long time ago, and tried several days ago to look for it on this page, and I couldn't be happier for finding it!!! I haven't stopped working out, but I can't wait to stop doing "modern" exercises like cycling and combat classes and go Old School again. You'll never find a more complete exercise video. Not recommended for starters and non perfeccionists!

Been my favorite for years: Rating: 5/5
I started doing this video when I was in Junior High, and have yet to find a more ab/arm burning experience yet. She's around 40 in the video and in amazing shape. I have since lost the orginal copy and am buying myself another one !!! I agree with pretty much what everyone else says about the aerobics section, but all the thigh, butt, arm and ab toning sections REALLY make you feel the burn!!!

This Jane Fonda workout is top notch for dancers!: Rating: 5/5
This is THE best workout for an overall solid workout of all of your large and small muscle groups. She works on building long lean defined muscles as opposed to the bulky build. This workout is comparable to Tracy Anderson's Mat and Dance workouts together. They use the same methods to get you in shape. I have been using this workout for 11 years and I have tried dozens of workouts hoping I could find something new and modern that would be comparable (toning your body and getting the best stretches). The music selection is not the best, but I have not found anything that is of the same caliber, until I tried Tracy Anderson's workout. I highly recommend this workout to anyone attempting to create a long lean dancers build.

A definite workout challenge...: Rating: 5/5
Okay, I do like this tape - it's fasionably out-dated and the two guys in lycra and sweat bands are brilliant.
This tape has it all - and more! BUT...and there is a but...I can't stand country music which means hardly any aerobics for me, if they kept it 80s sort of music then I'd be fine but country music, no I just can't! The balance section and floor work section are both tough.
Definitely forget about pilates and all that..if you want results and likes tough floor work and pelvis tilts then this is the tape for you.
I am still giving this tape 5 stars even though i rarely use it because of the country music. |
