Wife loves it: Rating: 5/5
My wife asked me to order her a steam cleaner made by a different company and after reading reviews I talked her into the Bissell 1867 instead. After using it she just loves it. No more heating water to use with a cleaner and mop - just fill it with distilled water (to make the filter last longer) and go. She says it does a great job on our vinyl flooring around the house and leaves the floors smooth but not slippery like some of the other cleaning products can do. She tells me it is "highly recommended".

Way better than a bucket and a mop: Rating: 5/5
I just got this cleaner to use in places where I don't can't use our bulky (but very effective) Hoover FloorMate. I immediately tried the steam mop on our wood stairs, and it was great! I would normally have to lug a dripping mop and bucket up and down the stairs, but this was lightweight and seemed to do a similar quality job. I also used it in the bathrooms on the tile, and it worked well and was very easy to maneuver around the toilet and sink. Finally, I like it because I like to keep the chemical cleaners to a minimum, and this (unlike when I mop) does not require any kind of soap or ammonia.

Not as good as I hoped.: Rating: 3/5
I have an unglazed tile floor which has always been a problem to keep clean. I really hoped this steam mop would solve the problem as I have had professional cleaners use steam. For my floor, this is not the answer. Perhaps not enough steam. I do better with a mop and bucket. For fast touchups it's fine but not proper cleaning.

I want ability to clean my berber carpet as well as the kitchen etc: Rating: 5/5
I would really be happy to take out my Bissell steam mop if I could also have an attachment to put on it for going over the carpet high traffic areas as well. They show one on TV that has this feature. Our home is small and it doesn't seem worth taking the mop out for just the kitchen. I am 75 with some health issues so this feature would be wonderful. I have had my mop for a few years now, so perhaps will have to go without as I can't afford to buy another mop. Thank you, Luella

Be Aware of inflated prices on the deluxe kit: Rating: 3/5
I have not used the product yet but it was very easy to put together. What I was not happy about was the breakdown on charges. I was charged 52.33 for the mop, 12.58 for 2 pads (can be purchased for under 10 separately) and 33.08 for the extended warranty. If I had known that I would have looked for a mop without the warranty. I never buy these extended warranties, in the end it is usually money thrown away and pure profit for the seller.
