Comfortable doesn't count if no one can hear or understand you.: Rating: 2/5
When I used this headset I got complaints from anyone I called. I would not recommend them at all.

Great Headset for the Price: Rating: 4/5
I really like this headset and I work on the phone many hours a day, so comfort and performance really do matter. If I could suggest one improvement, it would be the length of the headset cord. I understand that it must be made to accommodate people of different heights, but it would be great if the cord were either adjustable, or coiled (like a telephone cord) for people like me who simply don't need that much additional cord.

Nice headset for the price: Rating: 5/5
Easy to use. I love the two volume controls (one for increasing what you hear, one for increasing what the other person hears). Nice to have a mute control also. Well made and even when moving head, it stays in place. Soft ear covers. Overall a nice value for a low price.

Plantronics Comparison M214 & M175: Rating: 4/5
With multiple house phones and multiple cell phones I needed some new headsets. Before ordering I was able to do side-by-side comparisons of the Plantronics M214C and the M175C. Tried 4 phones. A Uniden 5.8, Uniden 2.4, Vtech 5.8, and LX9360 cell. Tests were done in a home-office setting.
The older Uniden 2.4 phone sounded rather "mushy" with both headsets.
On all other phones the 214C sounded much better and was the clear winner. More crisp and better fidelity. (it also costs less)
I suspect, but could not test the theory, the M175C has a better noise canceling design and would be a better choice in a noisy environment (e.g., your car). My experience with other microphones leads me to the opinion that "noise canceling" designs typically result in less fidelity.
In any event... my tests also bear out that your overall sound quality for home-wireless or cell phones is a function of the combination of the phone and the headset. The same headset on different phones can sound very different. |

Good headset for use with BlackBerry: Rating: 4/5
I purchased this headset to use as I spend a lot of time using my blackberry and need hands free. This wired headset sounds much better than the bluetooth I currently have. I have asked people on the other end and they say I sound very clear. No more struggling to hear people or having to repeat myself, great deal!
