Customer Reviews: Average Rating: 3.5/5
Shoddy workmanship and abysmal customer service: Rating: 1/5
I received the Lotus system as a gift and was anxious to try it out. It lasted about six months before it stopped working entirely. The process of getting it repaired was extremely cumbersome. The company does not respond to emails to their customer service site and they do not answer their customer service number. You simply stay on hold for 10-15 minutes, then you are transferred to a voice mail which may or may not be returned.

I finally was successful in getting the product repaired, and then I ordered replacement cartridges directly from Lotus Tersano. They sent me cartridges that had already expired, and then I had to start the process of dealing with their non-responsive customer service department all over again.

Unless you have hours to spend trying to get this product to work and dealing with a nonresponsive company, don't even think about buying it.

Very disappointed: Rating: 1/5
We purchased this sanitizing system because it sounded very promising and had many great reviews. We received this item yesterday and "wasted" all afternoon trying to get a single cycle to go through but continuously received F1 error messages. The system just worked fine with the bottle attached to the base, but anytime the bowl was attached with products, without products the F1 would should up again at around 97% (like it happened to the previous reviewer). We then called the 800 number showing on the base and all we got was a recording repeating the error messages as they are showing in the instruction manual. Then there was a message saying if you want to talk to someone to press ZERO for the operator, when doing so you received a message "no operator" available. After calling four times we are pretty upset and disappointed. We are stuck with a product that we cannot ask any questions about whether we might be possibly doing something wrong or if the unit is defective and needs to be replaced. After seeing the review from 2 days ago with the same problems I am wondering if the company has a "bad batch" out there right now, but how would I know not being able to talk to someone. I should charge them for my wasted time and my hourly rate is not cheap. This is and has been a very ridiculous experience with the manufacturer/seller......

THE LOTUS: Rating: 2/5
Just like a previous reviewer, I really wanted to love this product. I purchased it and tried it for the first time with the spray bottle suggested by the company. I got the F1 reading when it got to 98%. I then tried it 2 or 3 more times but got the same result. I sent it back and a few days later I got my replacement.
Unfortunately, the same thing happened again. I am so disappointed, but I guess its best it happened now instead of after the warranty ran out.

UPDATE TO: The Lotus 100 only lasted until the warranty was up: Rating: 1/5
UPDATE: After sending the Tersano Co. an angry email, they offered to send me a new base unit if I sent back my non-functioning one and included free shipping to and from so I must take back my criticism, stated below, of their abysmal customer service. However since they claim their Produce Sanitizing System should last between 5 and 10 years, it doesn't make much sense to only offer a one year warranty and neither does having to be seriously angry to get them to stand behind their product. In any case, I just received the new base unit from them and so Tersano did come through generously.

It's a nice idea. The ozone water treatment keeps most veggies and fruit longer than plain washing them but my Lotus 100 lasted just until after the one year warranty was up. Built in obsoleteness? I called the company and was told I'd have to send them $50 plus pay $9 shipping to have the unit repaired. I decided against repair because I believe this product is not well made and I would only have to do another repair soon again or have to purchase a new one. A financial catch is that the unit requires a cartridge attachment which lasts about 3 months or a bit less so at least 4 cartridges need to be purchased for a year of use. I had recently ordered the 4 cartridge package for $29.94 (their website says the same item now cost $35). I was told they would not give me a refund even though the cartridges were still in their original packing. I would not recommend purchasing this short-lived product or dealing with the Tersano mfg. company as I think their customer service is abysmal.

Company does not stand behind it's product: Rating: 1/5
I paid a LOT of money for this machine. It didn't last one year and the plastic nubbin under the filter snapped off. Not only doesn't it work anymore, but it leaks all over the counter. When I contacted Lotus by email. I received no reply, whatsoever. Nothing.
