Mack honored its warranty when my JVC cam stopped working: Rating: 5/5
I purchased my JVC camcorder when my first kid was born in 2003. About 3yrs after, JVC camcorder's LCD went bad, and recording was all messed up. I was little concerned because the cam had its wear and tear and a dent and MACK could have argued it as a sign of misuse (Verizon did this to me and refused warranty service on my cellphone). Anyway the cam stop working was honestly due to the product failure and thank to Mack, my camcorder's header drum and LCD screen were replaced anew. I guess MACK knew that the failure was not my fault and it honored the warranty I purchased. I only paid for the shipping. The warranty extended the life of the cam another two and a half year. Now the cam finally died again (avoid JVC, look up JVC camcorder "safeguard error" online, you will find hundreds people with the same complain). I am buying a new HD camcorder and buying Mack warranty again. Hope I don't have to use it, but even if I have to, I will count on MACK once again.

They sent for factory repair service, no problem: Rating: 5/5
My Minolta A2 camera stopped working during a vacation. I had the MACK extended warranty, and when I wrote them about it, they had me send it to Precision Camera Repair (Sony's official repair service since they took over Minolta's product line).
It was repaired promptly with no charge to me except UPS fees.

Don't even waste your time..: Rating: 1/5
I bought a Canon S70 in May 2005 and thought it'll be a good idea to have a Warranty as a backup, since I use my camera a lot.
Couple of months back the sliding shutter(also functions as on/off) for the camera broke - a fairly common problem for such a design.
-I ship the camera to Mack.
- 4 weeks go by, no answer. I call them, they said they had to send the camera to Canon for repair.
- Another 3 weeks go by.. I call them again. Now the drama begins. Mack sales guy (Rich) says Canon can't fix the camera so they'll give me an upgrade. They'll give me a 'refurbished' Canon SD630. If you do a search on this model, you'll find out this is a huge downgrade of a model. Also I have bought an underwater housing for the S70 which will go to waste since they can't fix or replace my camera with the same model.
- First of all after 7 weeks, I still don't have my camera. Mack is placing the blame on Canon and trying to Cop out by offering me a refurbished downgraded camera!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I should have read the reviews about their horrible service elsewhere online.
You'd think paying extra and buying a Warranty is peace of mind.. well.. Think again!
