| great deal for whole house phone system: Rating: 5/5 |
| The Panasonic Dect 6.0 phone system is a snap to install and inables you to put phones where there are no phone jacks. All you need is a power outlet. The range is great and it work well in my brick house inside and out. |

| Panasonic 6.0: Rating: 4/5 |
Phone work well I get little or no interference from other wireless devices. I wish they would change two things : 1)They should allow you to check the CID when you are in a call 2)They should allow you to be able to share the phonebook with the other hand sets

| Won't Honor Warranty: Rating: 2/5 |
| The phone, while it's working, rates 4. But it drops out--goes dead erratically, requiring reset around every 90-days. This rig is built more cheaply than its predecessors. This brings rank down to 3. The final, and fatal, flaw is Panasonic's new Policy of refusing to honor its warranties. Numerous calls and two case #'s later, while the phone was under warranty, the Phillipines "Customer Reps" jerked me XXX, refusing to send the correctly-rated batteries to replace the installed incorrect batteries which were the source of the problems. The batteries are supposed to be rated at 700ma; the ones supplied are only 600ma, a 16% deficiency. So, my final rating for this product is *2-Stars* I will never buy Panasonic again. |

| Excellent phone for use with plug in headset: Rating: 5/5 |
I was looking for DECT 6.0 phone system with a plug in headset. These two requirements pretty much eliminated most of the other brands. All of the Panasonic DECT 6.0 phone systems have plug in headset jacks. However, only this model offers a 3 stage volume control for the plug in headset, the other models have only one level. My Belkin headset works great on this phone system, it is loud and clear on the lowest volume setting. The phone system works great in my house. I really love the fact that the handsets all use standard AAA rechargeable batteries because it will make replacing them in a year or two very inexpensive. I wish all cordless phones used AAA batteries.
The phone system was easy to setup. The back lighting on the LCD is clear and bright. The talk time is very generous.
The phone system has some really cool features such as selected caller ID blocking where you can set the phone system to block certain numbers where the calling party would get a busy signal.
The phone system does have limitations which have been extensively discussed in other reviews. The primary limitation is that the base controls all handsets and is not available while any handset is in use. The second limitation is that the two extra handsets (to get to 6 handsets), model KX-TGA930T, are not the same as the 4 handsets that come with the phone system. The difference is that the keypad on the extra handsets are black instead of clear. I wish they were clear. |

| Good deal, good phone: Rating: 5/5 |
I have had this phone for about 2 months now. This works absolutely fine, I have had no issues what so ever. I have used Panasonic for my phones for as long as I can remember, has to be going on 20 something years and I never had an issue with any of them.
For what I paid and what I got, its a great deal. I love the caller block, it still rings once but its better than 4 rings and a message on the machine.
The sound quality is great no doubt, but it is different from my old one and I think that is why people complain. I noticed it right away but there was nothing negative to the change, in fact it was more clear than as before.
The ease of operation has slightly improved from the older model but it pretty much the same. There are a lot of new features with it, like features you would see on a cell phone. You should definitely read up on them.
It is a great improvement to my old Panasonic. I am shocked to read some of the bad reviews. If there are any problems it must be from a defective unit because mine works great. I recommend exchanging it with the retailer or with Panasonic. I wouldn't give up on the brand, Panasonic is just to good of a brand to give up on for a defective unit. It happens with every product out there. |
