| I purchased two other steam mops and returned -- this one does what it says it will do! I can use as a hand held steamer for the fridge, stove and windows. I can clean the tile in the kitchen, bath and the laminate in the den. It even cleans carpet!! I pre-treated the carpet, ran the steam back and forth over the stains and removed the excess water with a Bissell Spot vacuum. Oh, did I mention I have a 130 lb. dog? I have to mop and clean alot!! But I love him! |

| It is a wonderful product. The only thing is that the handle is not very strong. It can broke very easy. Otherwise, you can clean everything you want, so easy. It even cleaned my dirty grout, it is white again and which is very important for me without any chemicals. |

First I used it hand-held with the jet nozzle to clean the toilet. WOW! That was easy. I then proceeded to the faucet and it's mirror to get rid of toothpaste, shaving cream and all the other junk that gets splashed around the toilet sink.......The sqeegie attachment made cleaning the mirror tooooo easy!The chrome sink faucet had a super polished look when I was done.
So I decided to attach the fabric attachment. I put the settingon low and took the wrinkles off a dress shirt in a few minutes. EASY!
The next day I put the mop attachment and handle on and cleaned the kitchen floor.
The floors were clean and odorless.
Once you understand how to use the setting for the job at hand everything goes without a hitch. This is the best investment ive made in a long time.
Now the only hing I have to look for is how long it last's and if that goes well I will be one very happy steamfast user.
UPDATE!!! Used it on bathroom tile and got rid of al the black mildew and and black gunk that grows in between the tiles. I found this so much more effective than using scrubbing bubbles or tolex because it actually removed the black gunk. I have never seen the grout so white and clean. |

I bought this primarily to clean up after my parrots and to get I-don't-know-how-many-years worth of soap scum, etc. off my bathroom walls. My favorite attachment for this is the utility head with the small cloth cover. It does a good job. The cloth shoves the loosened dirt off and absorbs it. It still takes elbow grease, but nothing like it used to around the bird cages. And I hadn't found anything to clean the tiles in the windowless bathroom that didn't involve heavy-duty chemicals.
The only problem is getting replacement covers. SteamFast's site use to carry them for over $6 each. They don't anymore. The solution -- I went to a discount chain and bought white no-show socks for toddlers. I think I ended up with size 3 (they're shorter than my hand.) I got a name brand with a high cotton count (in case the steam was hot enough to melt highly synthetic socks.) Three pairs were under a dollar a sock.
I just used one for the first time. I turned it inside out and it fit well, with only a little excess fabric around the toe. I did the floor around the cages. It looks cleaner than it has in weeks. The sock was disgusting when I finished but, for that price, I peeled it off and dropped it in the trash.
I haven't used it as a mop yet, but even if all I end up liking it for is cages and walls, I'll consider the purchase money well spent. |

| The Steam Fast SF-Mop is all I had expected it to be. Most of the reviews I had read on the product indicated it was a good product with minor problems. Most of the problems I read about in other reviews were easily fixed by simply reading the instruction manual. for example many people indicated that the steam mop left puddles of water on the floor as you were moping. As it says in the instruction manual, the higher the setting on the mop the more water it will put on the floor. So by simply turning the mop setting down to medium it put out just the right amount of steam to clean my laminated kitchen floor. Yet many others indicated that the handled of the mop was substandard and would break very easy, but if you take the time to screw the mop in all the way, then there is a less of a chance the handle will break, if the handle does break you can use any broom handle to substitute. the only thing I did not like about it was when using the unit as a hand held steamer there is no trigger to regulate the amount of steam produced. over all I a very satisfied with this purchase. |
