Samsung SE-S084C/RSLN (Blue): Rating: 5/5
Have a Acer AOD250-1165 and this Samsung unit was plug and play. I did try it first on a Dell Vostro 200 and it needs the second USB pluged in for it to run.
The only possible issue for some installs is the need for a USB extention.
Would purchase again.

Fits my needs perfectly: Rating: 4/5
I bought this drive to function as an occasional drive for my netbook. It had to be cheap, it had to work, and it had to be light enough to carry through an airport if I needed to. Check, Check, and Check. I didn't even install the included Roxio Bloatware, I just hooked it up, Windows installed the driver automatically, and I was off. I have not tred to use it to burn a CD (I have a big computer to do that), but it works flawlessly for playing a DVD or installing software.

finicky: Rating: 3/5
its finicky, it works and then says theres an error. sometimes you have to unplug it and replug it in and see if it works everytime it says error. kind of annoying but it does the job usually

DVD Player: Rating: 4/5
Generally a good product that does the job, with a few exceptions. The cord that comes with it has 2 USB plugs and both must be blocked into my computer or the machine will not start. Also, the player must be plugged in at the time you boot up your machine or it will not be recognized. Lastly the player is light and easy to use, except that you need 2 hands to insert a DVD - one to push the drawer, the other to hold the machine from slipping. You could anchor it to the desk, but then it is not very portable. All that said it does a good job when burning the DVD's no technical problems on any of my other players. Oh, and be careful when you install the Nero that comes with it. After installing, all my video files were changed to Nero files, I must have missed where they asked me that.

Works great for me: Rating: 5/5
I purchased this drive to rip CDs with and it works quite well for this purpose. The drive looks cool and is quick.
