Likkered Up Sweet Taters

2 large sweet potatoes
1/4 pound butter
2/3 cup tequila
1/4 cup fresh squeezed lime juice
3 tablespoons granulated sugar

Cut the sweet potatoes into pieces about 1 inch long and 1/4 inch thick. Sauté the sweet potatoes in butter for 5 minutes. Add the tequila, lime juice, and sugar. Cook covered over moderate heat for 5 minutes. Serve.

Serves 4.
